We should realize that the extinctions of species will lead to an imbalanced ecosystem, and can impact our food system, economy and eliminate breakthroughs in our scientific and medical studies.
There is an interconnection and interdependence among all species in the ecosystem, and if one is eliminated, there could be a drastic and sudden effects on the remaining species. It is recorded in history of the five mass extinctions that happened on earth, and today, scientists are saying that the humans are creating the sixth mass extinction. The legal and illegal trade in species that are at endangered risks, habitats that are destroyed because of expanding cities, and climate change due to human driven activities. It is sad to know that many animals cannot adapt to these very fast changes and human activities.
